I saw a program on the History channel about that. The Mayans predict something big, their detailed calender ends on that day. Maybe a solar flare from the sun directed at Earth, the next one’s 2012.

I think that 2012 won’t be end yet. And when the “end” comes, i think it will be the beginning.

have you ever stopped to thing that 12/21/12 has happened before?? like in 1912 and 1812 and 1712.

The world was also supposed to end on June 6, 2006 and we’re still here.

I’m not trying to be rude (to quote Simon Cowell), I’m just posting my opinion on the matter.  I think ancient predictions are cool.

I think something might happen, I’m not sure what… but I definitely don’t think an Armegeddon or anything. I guess we’ll find out.

The only thing that will happen will be the result of superstitious people acting out of fear. It’s a number. It will be a day like any other, just like 6/6/06 was (except that wasn’t because the Hush Sound released their second album that day, which is always delightful).

Well, I mean something along the lines of Scientific phenomena: the aforementioned solar flares or some kind of gravitational disturbance. Granted, I haven’t done research and I probably don’t know what I’m saying; these are just things I’ve briefly read about. I sure hope it’s a day like any other, though, but I do wonder sometimes. Who are we to say what will or will not happen?

Oh solar flares. OK. Yeah you’re right—can’t say what will or will not happen. “It” could happen tomorrow. I mean, obviously I would rather there not be some sort of solar flare that incinerates the earth, but frankly, if it happened, how would I know?

But just in case there isn’t some sort of worldwide cataclysmic event, I should probably write this paper on John Donne’s “The indifferent” and “Confined Love.” Anyone have any idea what the good doctor’s thoughts were with regard to variety? Me neither.

Someone should ask the presidential candidates how they plan to handle the end of the world as we know it at the end of their term.  Who needs health insurance if the sun is going to burst?

I would personally rather not know when the world is gonna blow up (not that I’m saying I think it will happen on 12/21/12). 

Also, how could it be the beginning of man kind?  Mankind is already here…

it is a fact that on december 21, 2012 the milky way and the sun will allign. this happens about once every 26,000 years. when this happends it will create solar flares to charge at the earth creating massive radiation crazyness. alot of people think that all the radiation will cause a complete polar shift in our magnetic fields. the result of which could be total enlightenment of mankind because our brainwaves are running in one direction at the moment because of the magnetic fields. this just might be a great great new era for everyone.

nostradamus allso predicted an apocalypse on 12/21/2012. he was a very accurate philosipher and deep thinker. he predicted the nazi invasion and all kinds of stuff.

before you get all “you is crazy kid!” lets remember that the latin translation for apocalypse does not translate to the end of the world. it means “the unveiling”. maybe something will happen that will show everyone the real meaning of life which i think is “no meaning at all” to live in the moment without any real duty on earth other than self enlightenment.

i believe deeply that something HUGE is upon us. something that is going to change the way we live forever. its already started. the mayans said 2012 was just the peak point but that change would occur 15 years prior to that AND look at whats going on in the world of politics. a new world order, chemntrails, the N.A.F.T.A

its all happening.

no matter what we think or study or what not i think we can all agree that no matter what we are heading towards something that VERY few humans have ever been through. i would prefer if something did happend. the way the world is going right now i rather have the universe be the end of me rather than man himself.
