Zomgosh. Matt Costa IS working on a new album. I haven’t downloaded Josephine yet because iPhones are flawed, but are you guys as excited as me?! This just made my shitty day a lot more grand.

apparently i am the only person with access to the boards…but in case there are others who can read but not write - Tom Dumont just updated his website today http://www.tomdumont.com and it always had a link to matt’s site, which used to say “i produced two albums and two eps for matt costa” but NOW it says “I have heard Mobile Chateau and I absolutely love it.” 

i’m so jealous!  you suck, tom!  share with us!

i wrote to tom through no doubts message boards, and he sent me a private message back, which said “I have a copy of the new Matt Costa album “Mobile Chateau” and it’s amazing. He produced it himself, out in Sept I think..

I’m still here! I cant wait to hear Mobile Chateau. I wasn’t too fond to Permanent Vacation or What’d You Go and Do That For? I was worried that he had completely changed his sound, but I just heard Josephine and I love it so I’m hoping it’ll sound more like that

so, i’m freaking out tonight, because Tom Dumont sent me another private message on ND’s message board…I replied to his previous message begging him to leak some songs, and then just requesting the track listing…and finally just asked if the song about “lily white hands” is on the cd…it’s from the GTFU session, i think we’ve been calling it “I won’t let you go” or “lost and found”....Anyway, Tom replied and said “Yes that song about the lilly white hands is on there, it’s the title track and really beautiful! T”

so YAY!!  I love Tom!  Also, that lily song is the one matt wrote for my niece…or at least that’s the story i like to tell myself…it’s probably explained somewhere in this thread…

omg yall im so excited for Mobile Chateau! But I sorta miss the cleaner, for folk-y sound of his first album
