chrryblsm25 - Mar 15, 2008 01:07pm I didn’t want to make a thread for this so I thought I would put it here, but I fell upon a version of Darling Be Home Soon…Does anyone have background on when Matt did this, it’s sounds like a studio version, if it’s live, then that person is one hell of a taper…anywayz I’m pretty darn sure it’s Matt. It’s an amazing song…just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about it.
Yeah, it’s definitely him. Two or so years ago (‘05/‘06 I think), he had that song, the demo version of Sunshine, and a couple others to download for free on his website. I guess it was just a B-side type thing as far as I know. I hadn’t known a whole lot about him before then, so it could go back farther, I don’t know.
The info is still on my mp3, and it says, “Unknown Album 10/28/2004 8:28”
I had downloaded it directly from the website, so I assume that’s correct information.

Thanx, it’s just an amazing version of the song. Even my husband was like whoa who is this, which is big because we have very diff tastes in music. I just wanted to verify I wasn’t crazy for thinking it was him.

I love love love Cold December for the change…and I’ve always had a thing for Sunshine. What an amazing album. Mr. Pitiful from the new one is soooo catchy too!

Nothing I have heard is less than cool. Out of the hundreds of artists I have on my ipod he is the only one that I have 2 complete albums included in my playlist.

I love them all! but if i had 2 pick just a few from SWS i’s say Wash Away, Sunshine, and Sweet Rose. From UF i’d say Lilacs.

from songs we sing, id pick astair, its beautiful..but sunshien will probably be my favorite soon since im learning how to play it on the guitar!!
from unfamiliar faces, never looking back is currently my favorite, i can really relate to it right now..it actually brought me to tears when i first listened to it

i really love whisky and wine, a great live version is live at lous. i agree whole heartedly on manic man too . . . gosh, you really cant pick just one . . . or four or five. love heart of stone and never looking back too.

i agree, i recently just heard jpsephine and really love that song. i was rather startled at his “obscene” line in the chorus though.
