Ok- so I have started recording in Philly and working on some music with musicians like Chuck Treece and King Britt. You maybe wondering who Chuck Treece is, well odds are you’ve heard him. He’s helped out many musicians over the years including G.Love, Billy Joel (wrote the bassline to “in the middle of the night”), Esthero, The Roots, Res, M.I.A, Santogold, Bad Brains (and was recently filmed for the MTV artists of the week) Mike Pinto, and Slightly Stoopid, as well as- all you Tom Dumont fans out there a guy named Bi Jing Li (a guy Tom helped get started- chuck played on the record with them). Chuck is also a professional skate boarder and if you watch any of Bam Margera shows on MTV or MTV2, you may see my good ol chuck.
Anyhow- as far as King Britt goes- a musical genius. I’d never heard of him prior to working with Chuck, and after King Britt and Chuck decided to do a remix to one of my songs- I’ve started seeing his name and his company’s name (Five..Six Media) pop all over Billboard Magazine and promos for this years SXSW fest in Austin.
