OKAY.
*takes deep breaths*

whew. okay. here we go.
so, yesterday i contacted a professor here at Wofford who is teaching an interim on classical guitar. i proposed a cellist who i think is worthy of some mention & would love to have come and play here at wofford because Dr. Akers has brought many wonderful musicians to us thus far this year. The cellist was ben sollee, who if you don’t know, you should definitely check out. ANYWHO. I also mentioned matt & linked him to the daily session video of “witchcraft” and “that’s fancy part 1.”

well, i just checked my email, and LO AND BEHOLD, he has replied and wants matt to come play in our troubadour series! HOLY FREAKING SHIZNITS.

however, Dr. A wants his contact info and as the site is currently malfunctioning for me, if someone could PLEASE be my best friend ever and reply with it, i would be much obliged!

i’m giving you all my puppy eyes. they are too sad too resist. *trembly lip*

HAVE A GREAT DAY, EVERYONE! (...but only once you reply with the info hahahaha)

thank you, dobby!
but i actually was able to get the info later on that day/the next day (can’t remember if i’m honest) because the contact section was no longer malfunctioning.

and then, the forums have been malfunctioning for the past couple of days, so i couldn’t get on, and BAHHH HUMBUG.

oh, and Dr. A replied and he’s not willing nor does he have the funds to fork out 7500 for matt [which i, myself, argued is ridiculously cheap (OHLOL. i just realized i spelled it “cheep” on an amazon review thingy. ohman. cold drugs make you stupid.) in comparison to other artists of the same caliber] but he offered to help in any way possible, and i’m going to raise money to get him here. this was already my plan, but i at least have Dr. A to back me up and support me which is encouraging, i suppose.

but i do appreciate it, “dobby,” and i sincerely hope that you have a wonderful day smile

well, that’s what concertideas.com told me.
so matt, if you are reading this and are totally aghast at my ignorance, i blame that site.

but yar. concertideas.com gives you the prices for most american bands/artists/comedians.

OR, we could just combine all the boardie’s money and host an awesome show somewhere in the states?
those closest to the show would preferably donate the most money because those of us living far away would have traveling expenses?...

a girl can dream…

And me! And btw, Clownfish, my “town” has exactly one street and about 1100 people in it. And while the pizzeria/salumeria is tops,  it doesn’t exactly make up for the lack of interesting nightlife. Or even any nightlife at all. But the margherita is spectacular, the espresso is delish, and the manager has been deemed “swoonworthy” by Yelp ... so maybe it might be a good venue. :)

you might consider travel expenses for Matt…it’s probably $7500 plus travel.  Is it more expensive to bring Matt to Miss Magnolia’s pizzeria, or to bring Miss Magnolia to LA?

Either way, I’m in!  I’d be happy to donate my back yard as a free venue, as well.

Miss Magnolia if I’m thinking of the right building, your talking about a building that my family used to have for forever. I haven’t been in it since the ownership change but I know that place is decent size for a performance from Matt. Wow that would be weird/awesome, I’m in!

*sorry, I’m the one who lives in Windsor ;)

i love how everyone is so gung-ho about this.
i’m completely game for it.
we should somehow gain matt’s attention.

in my haste, that is the best i can think of, yes.
*downcast look*
