Has anyone else listened to this new, subtley and, somehow at the same time, strikingly, beautiful album by Andrew Bird yet? I would love to hear some thoughts.

yes! i bought the deluxe version of noble beast that comes with a bonus cd useless creatures, its a great instrumental cd.
as of right now this isnt my favorite andrew bird album but “oh no” has been stuck in my head for days.
i will definitely have to listen to it more but i dont think its as well done as a whole as armchair apocrypha or mysterious production of eggs as a whole album.
but it is still exciting to have a new andrew bird cd (two to add to my collection!)
if youre an andrew bird fan, and are going to buy the cd, i recommend paying the extra money for the bonus cd-its really great experimental stuff-a different side of mr. bird.

I just got Noble Beast the other day and have been loving it. I can’t get Not a Robot, but a Ghost out of my head though. I’m having a tough time deciding whether or not I like it better than Armchair Apocrypha (my favorite Andrew Bird), but I’m really just excited to have new Andrew Bird also haha

I think I am also going to have to find this instrumental cd!

ok so i have listened to noble beast all day today and i REALLY like it. i keep getting all of them stuck in my head now! i like tenuousness alot too but i think oh no is the most catchy.  i hope i didnt make it seem like i didnt like the album that much cause i really do like it, but it cant beat armchair or eggs, although i wasnt really expecting it to because those are amazing.
and i cant wait for friday because im going to see him live!

you really have to find it! i think it only comes in that bonus pack but you might be able to get the tracks online somewhere. hot math is my favorite on that.
useless creatures (the instrumental cd) really is amazing. ive been listening to it the past few days while studying for my exams-very good study music! :]

Anonanimal is the song that’s stuck in my head, there’s a part @ 2:30 where he says “hold on just a second…” and then there’s an explosion of music about 20 seconds later, haha. i love it… o.k.  i don’t sound to obsessed. :P

With me, Andrew Bird’s music needs time ruminate. Though I’m never disappointed when it finally hits.

Tenuousness and Effigy are my favorites at the moment. And I FINALLY get to see Andrew live in February. I’m far too excited!

I wholeheartedly agree. I taped his performance on Letterman, and he can really whistle his butt off in live performances.
