Circumstance may point you in that direction, he released one in the beginning of 2008, and toured not stop.  Currently with no tour dates set, he presumably has time to be in studio tracking for another album.  Also, he polishes most of his new songs on the road, so probably does not require many recording sessions to get what he wants down.  He could also just be chilling after an exhausting 2008, and celebrating his wedding vows.

He talks about a new album in the ticketmaster ‘live daily sessions’ interview.  It’s linked on mattcosta.com At the bottom there’s audio of an interview.  (different from the performance videos). 

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out…will Tom produce if he’s touring with No Doubt?  Will Matt tour with No Doubt?  (please!)
