Hey K & Squealer- I am curious…the removed thread…was it the one about the M word?  Why is that such a scandal?  I thought it sweet with all the well-wishing.  Did others write some nasty stuff? I hope not! Just curious???

i always get reduced to a letter…sniff. hahaha
but to answer your questions, more than likely because it’s about his personal life.
i’m a member of another forum, and you get banned if you post stuff about the band member’s personal lives.
granted, we have actual rules on that forum that state “NO PERSONAL LIFE DISCUSSION…or else”
but i think it’s just assumed? it’s in respect to his privacy, i suppose.
i’m sure that if he saw the messages, he was happy because everyone was congratulating him, and to my knowledge, there weren’t any negative responses in the thread…
but i think it just came down to the fact that it was a tad intrusive.

Thanks kaleidoscope…apologize for my lazy k!  I totally understand…hopefully we’ll have that new album to discuss soon…

okay. first of all, i SWEAR that i haven’t just been sitting at the computer waiting for you to reply. i actually just got back from dinner a little bit ago & checked my email and voila. i had a notice. i am not a creepy internet stalker…i’m creepy, maybe, but stalking takes wayyyy too much work hahaha.

but nein. i have no clue on timeline. i will be super happy if it comes out this year, though.
the thing is, though, he basically has all of the songs writtern and nearly perfected from paying them live everywhere…
and i’m not a musician [unless playing a xylophone counts for something else besides PURE AWESOMENESS], but i would assume this means it shouldn’t take TOO long?

As to the timeline, is it too pessimistic to think it won’t happen this year? Didn’t he say he wasn’t going to be working on it for some time? I know that doesn’t exactly mean it will take years, but it kind of seems like he’s not planning on it any time soon.

Wouldn’t be hard, weren’t you saying you wanted ANOTHER album like a week after unfamiliar faces came out?

Haha. “You” in general? Or me, personally? I don’t know, as unreasonable as that would be, I suppose it’s possible that I said that. I don’t think I did or would, but… I’m perfectly fine waiting. Even if I don’t want to. But I will say that the three years in between SWS and UF were hell.

Thanks for the article Dizzy.  I never saw that before.  You’re probably right about Matt taking some time off.  boo.  Tom has been posting on No Doubt’s site…so he’s definitely not thinking about new Matt Costa. 

But, if he already has enough songs for an album, why not put the thing out?

Matt has a couple of tour dates up on his site…

No Doubt also announced their opening acts for the upcoming tour, and Matt is not among them…so that destroys my idea of Matt touring with them and recording a new album.
