Maybe it was on the old forum. “Behind the Moon” (Don’t read this if you’re not over 18 years old) (Seriously) “Now here I come (obvious meaning), to dance around the sun (sperms abound the egg, looks like dancing around sun), I’ve been oh so blue (blue balls), stuck behind the moon (she’s on her period, monthly cycle of moon), now let me in, back where we begin (where we all come from), and let me hold you like the way, we used to do” That’s what I always thought. Please don’t ban me if it’s inappropriate. I just think it’s clever song writing.

Have you ever listened to The Beatles, do you think John’s lyrics on the early stuff were as G rated as they sound? I’ll delete my post if it offends people, so if 5 more people say it’s offensive I’ll delete it. Where’s Fretless? He know’s what I’m talking about.

I personally don’t take it that way but I do recall seeing an interview in which Matt states that he wants people to find their own meaning in his songs. I mean really we have a thread talking about how glass from Cold December refers to meth and then jumps to bongs then sex toys I mean, it is what it is.I support you tajeco if you think dancing around the sun equates to sperm and eggs, I say viva la procreation! Lord knows this board could use some randomness once in a while…

Oct 28, 2008 05:13pm fretless Total Posts: 84	tajeco. that was by far the most clever interpretation of a matt song i have ever heard (read). though i just cant see why matt would write that way with that song and so different with his others i can see where you come from and having talked to the man himself i KNOW some of his songs have a heavy meaning behind a light innocent metaphor.
