Anyone hitting the show in Boston tomorrow night at the Paradise?
I plan on driving to town early and bouncing around my old College town, maybe grab some dinner and drinks before the show.

Peace, Love

I was SOOOO going to fly up form NC for that show because my best friend lives in Boston, but alas that whole work thing always gets in the way. I’ve never been to Boston and it would have been a great way to see it the fisrt time. Touristy stuff ended with Matt. Have lots of fun, I’ll be sitting here stewing in my jealousy.

Green with envy,

I love the Paradise.  I’ve seen many great shows there.  My first was Hootie and the Blowfish before they became one hit wonders.  Got to meet the infamous Darius Ruckus.  Whoot whoot!

Have a great time.

What school did you go to, btw?  I went to Stonehill in N. Easton, a bit south of Boston.

I went to Northeastern right near Fenway Park.

I just got back from the show and it was amazing! My friends and I got there way early so we were right in front of the stage. Matt’s voice is even better live, the best voice I have ever heard period. The only thing that bothered me was how loud people were being during the opening acts. I thought the opening acts were also really good. With the first band Satisfaction I loved the guy playing bass. He has the sickest bass moves I have ever seen! He was selling shirts when we first got there, so he also has skills as a salesman.

The thing is since we got there so early we decided to walk around a bit. So we missed actually meeting Matt Costa. We got back from walking around and two people that had been there even before us told us “Oh he just walked by and skateboarded away. He told us he’s getting a new shirt. He was really nice we got pictures with him.”

Needless to say we were PISSED we missed our chance. Me and one of my friends wanted to wait even if it took all night outside. A majority of the gang wanted to go home though and democracy prevailed. But we’ve already decided we are going to go to every Costa show in a hundred mile radius so chances are we will get to meet him one fine day.

You didn’t want to say Harvard?

I was a BU Terrier first… so i’m trying to stay true to my beanpot (hockey) roots. plus, i wanted to use the word crimson in a sentence, such an ugly color. haha
anyway, if i went to a matt costa show in boston, i would have a pizza pie delivered from T’s pub to the tourbus…. good stuff meynard.

Great show at the Paradise last week, but there were obvious problems with the sound.

yeah, the support for this tour was good, tho I prefered Satisfaction to Sera.

dansully, are you the guy who was hanging around after that had given him the phil spector recordings? I was the photographer girl.

Yes, that was I.
Album is called “The Acetates” exceedingly rare Donovan Bootleg.  More power to you that you knew of HMS Donovan, not a bootleg but a rarity indeed.  Henry Martin from that one dips in and out of my favorite Don song.
