YOu guys are right, Delta Spirit was awesome. Saw them open last night for Matt and enjoyed them the entire time. Have a ton of energy, liked the different types of percussion tehy brought in too. But yeah, ended up buying their CD after the show, would definitely go see them live again if I had the chance.

I am so stoked to see these guys. I got their EP because iTunes was a bitch and took off their album the day I wanted to buy it….no bitterness…..from what everyone says they are awesome to watch so this makes the four hour drive from home seem so worth it, not that it wouldn’t be I was making the four hour trip just for Matt before they annouced the openers….but this is the icing for sure

Yeah I saw them again two weeks ago in Petaluma ... they sounded just a great as they did the first time. I think they were a little bummed by how small/young/quiet the crowd was when they went on (and to be fair, they were all of those things ... all-ages show on a Wednesday night in a small(er) town during the last week of school), but it didn’t have any effect on their performance. They’re so much fun to watch, and very gracious and great to talk to.

I didn’t know who Delta Spirit was but saw them with Matt Costa last night at the Dallas House of Blues.  They were really good!  That last song was really intense too.  I can’t remember the name of it but remember the content (anti-war theme, done very well).  Matt is such a sweet heart!  I took my kids to see him because I found out about Matt through them.  I have Cold December as my current ring tone for about a month now…long story short…  I don’t know if you (Matt Costa) read any of these posts or not but… THANKS FOR RETURNING MY PHONE MATT!!!  The kids and I are still on a high from seeing you & all that happened last night!  Thanks!

I liked the energy they brought to the stage before Costa went on and talking with them was really nice too. We actually stayed in the same hotel as them and hung out with Brandon, the drummer, for a while. He couldn’t find the vending machine so he came back to our room for snack time. I’m a nerd and packed snacks for our roadtrip and then we didn’t even eat them, so I gave them to Brandon. We met up with all of them for breakfast the next morning, these guys are super chill and very nice.

I had only heard 3 of Matt’s songs before I saw them live & had never heard of Delta Spirit.  I was feeling a little cheap that night after forking over $80 plus $15 for parking to get in the door, but now I completely regret not buying t-shirts & cds!  I can find Matt’s cds online but don’t yet see Delta Spirit’s new cd online for sale (send me link if you find one).  I find I enjoy songs more after I have heard them a few times.  (Know the beat & words.)

They did sell it on iTunes but they just signed with a new label so they are re-releaseing the album on the 26th. iTunes and I were in a fight but then the guys explained to me the sudden disapperance of their album. Their EP is still up, so snag it!

$80? Yeeeeeesh. I’ve only paid that much (a little more actually) for a show once, Simon & Garfunkel. Where the heck were they playing??

I’m really loving them the more I hear. I’ve pretty much listened to Trash Can Song and Gimme Some Motivation about 30 times each in the last 4 days.  lol
